Most of the top players from around South Africa were represented at the event and the Snooker was of a very high standard. After some riveting matches in the semifinals, it was current SA Singles Champion, Mutalieb Allie and former SA Masters Champion, Pierre Jordaan, who progressed to the finals. Both players produced some very good Snooker, but in the end, it was Mutalieb Allie who claimed yet another national title.SA Masters Winner 2018 – Mutalieb Allie

While the Masters battled it out in Johannesburg, the SA Ladies Snooker Championships were played in Cape Town. During the course of these championships, three titles are contested, namely the SA Ladies Singles, SA Ladies 6 Reds and the SA Ladies Classic. Two players stood head and shoulders above the rest and after a trio of closely contested matches and some very good Snooker, it was Nicola Rossouw who claimed the SA Ladies Singles, as well as the SA Ladies 6 Reds titles, while Joy Willenberg took the SA Ladies Classic title. Well done ladies. It is so good to see our ladies performing so well and going from strength to strength.
